Spark for founding organization

In 1980’s, Friends Club was initiated by like-minded college going youths of Perambalur and had run as an unregistered body. The club celebrated National Days, Local Functions and conducted Competitions, Sports and Games events among the people during the Pongal Holidays in a grand manner and distributed prizes to the winners on behalf of the said club. They joined together in fetching water and serving to their localities on voluntary basis as Perambalur was drought hit area; people were struggled a lot to the drinking water. The services were at the door steps in the beginning; then we arranged water vehicle to provide water at the street corners. The Club members enjoyed and satisfied the services with community participation and involving themselves in such activities.
