Working Children Home
Since 1994 to 1998, Short stay home was run to child labour. Noon meal was provided. Non formal education Centre was conducted along with recreational activities to come over from their stress and psychological disturbances. Some of the children stayed in night time. Skill trainings were provided as per their interest; finding alternate employment for Beedi (country cigarette) workers and turned to flower vending, two wheelers mechanic shops, welding industry for their requirements and livelihood. The program was supported by SKN international, The Netherlands.
Child Labour School
Child labour school was run by Indo Trust in Kattur, Tiruchirappalli from 1995 to 1998. 50 children attended the school. Literacy and numeracy education was taught in the Centre. The program was sponsored by National Child Labour Project, District administration, Tiruchirappalli.
Thalir ThiranThittam
In Partner with APARAJITHA Trust, Madurai, INDO Trust has distributed the CDs related with Syllabus of Life Skill Education in the year 2008-09 to all Government High schools and Higher secondary schools. In Perambalur District, INDO trust has distributed the CDs to 52 High schools and Higher Secondary Schools.
Objective of the Project
Aparajitha Trust has appointed Indo trust to execute the TTT program in Perambalur District. On that basis, the program was supervised by Indo trust since last August 2013 every month.
Rajiv Gandhi National Creche Scheme
Crèche program has been implemented by INDO Trust at Samathuvapuram of Elambalur Panchayath, Perambalur district from 2000 to 2016 Every year 30 children are benefited under the program. Two workers were working in the centre to take care of the children. In the noon, the centre provides nutritious food. Crèche committee is functioning for giving valuable advice and monitoring the centre. The children’s day, Independence day, Republic day are celebrated and provided sweet and special food for children. Village Health Nurse visits the centre and providing health and medical care every month. The education is given along with playing and entertainment. The children are playing with toys and recreation articles. Mr. Perumalsamy, APO, Tamilnadu Social Welfare Board, Chennai had visited the centre every year
Anna Supplementary Education Centre
Evening Supplementary Education Centre was running well at Earikarai Village with the cooperation of the community for the last Ten years from 2004 to 2015. The credit of successful implementation of the project goes to Ms. Anna. The age group of 5-14 years studying from first standard to eighth standard were attending the coaching centre in the evening from 4.45 pm to 6.30 pm.
