HIV/AIDS Programme – Link Worker Scheme

Indo trust is implementing the project in 100 villages of 13 blocks in Pudukottai district of Tamilnadu. We are executing the programs among the High Risk Group, Vulnerable Population, Bridge Population, PLHAs and migrated.

The aim of the scheme is linking the women in mainstream to access health and medical care for their betterment by referring to Integrated Centre for Testing and Counselling and ART Centre. We have formed Village Health Committees, Red Ribbon Clubs and sharing the health education, changing health behaviours, ensuring the availability of health and medical care to rural women compared to urban and educated women. The program was sponsored by TANSACS, Chennai.
